Romel is a believer in tireless, detail-oriented advocacy that has produced top-notch results for clients from across western Pennsylvania and the United States for over forty years. Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, he is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his B.A. in 1979. From there, he went on to receive his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1982 before returning to his Pittsburgh roots.  He is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania state and federal courts, as well as the District of Columbia.  

Romel then began his career as an associate at GTN in 1982 and was made a Partner in 1986. As a testament to his dedication to his clients and his reputation among other lawyers, Romel has achieved a peer review rating of AV-Preeminent and High Ethical Standing status which reflects that his attorney peers have rated his legal ability and integrity at the highest possible level.

Throughout this time at GTN, he has tried to verdict dozens of jury and non-jury trials in state and federal court and is well known for his courtroom skill set. He has represented Fortune 100 companies, municipalities. small business owners, and individuals alike, following through on his belief that everyone deserves the highest quality legal representation available. 

Romel is also a longstanding member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Ethics Committee, a frequent contributing lecturer and writer for the state-wide Pennsylvania Municipal Authority Association and its magazine.
