Prepared to deal with the unexpected
For me, estate planning is about being prepared to deal with the unexpected. I want my family to have clarity in carrying out my wishes during uncertain times. As a 65-year-old with a 94-year-old father, a wife, and two adult sons, there were certain aspects of the estate planning process that were important to me. Michele guided me through simple issues such as updating beneficiaries, while also offering her expertise related to recent changes in estate tax laws. However, where Michele stood out was her ability to discuss difficult topics, such as choosing which of my children would be designated medical power of attorney if I were ever incapacitated. After working together with Michelle, I sleep easier knowing that if something unexpected happens, my wishes will be respected and my family will be taken care of.
